At Erasable, we use our pico laser in Tampa across all skin types, but we don’t treat every client with the same settings. Your provider evaluates your skin tone and concerns before selecting the wavelength and pulse duration that make sense for your treatment.
Precision at Picosecond Speed
At Erasable Med Spa, our providers use the Cutera enlighten III device to target unwanted ink and pigment with highly controlled laser energy. The platform combines 3 laser wavelengths with both picosecond and nanosecond pulse durations, giving us the flexibility to treat pigment at different depths while supporting clearer, more even-looking skin.
Our certified trainers are former Cutera Key Opinion Leaders and international speakers teach aesthetic professionals nationwide how to use the enlighten III, then bring that same trainer-level experience to our own treatment rooms. That expertise with our pico lasers in Tampa guides how we tailor each treatment to your skin and desired results.

Discover What Pico Can Do

Inside the Cutera enlighten III
The Cutera enlighten III gives our providers both nanosecond and picosecond pulse durations, letting us adjust how the laser delivers energy based on what we’re treating.
The main difference comes down to how quickly that energy reaches the pigment. While a nanosecond laser delivers energy in a billionth of a second, a pico laser works on a trillionth-of-a-second scale. Both pulse durations break up unwanted pigment, while picosecond delivery limits heat exposure to surrounding skin.
The wavelength determines which tattoo ink colors and pigment concerns we can treat:
- 532nm: Addresses lighter tattoo ink colors, including red and yellow
- 670nm: Works on tattoo ink colors such as green and blue
- 1064nm: Targets darker tattoo inks and pigment located deeper in the skin
Those wavelengths also let our providers address benign pigmented lesions at different depths, giving the enlighten III a versatile role among our laser treatments in Tampa. Cutera’s enlighten devices, PICO Genesis and PICO Genesis FX, further revitalize the skin by targeting hyperpigmentation like acne scars and difficult to treat dermal melasma. Because the ultra short picosecond pulse duration is so fast, it does not build heat in the dermal layers of skin, therefore making it an ideal treatment for melasma.

Frequently Asked Questions
The pico laser treats much more than unwanted tattoo ink. Our providers also use the Cutera enlighten III for pigmentation, skin revitalization, and dermal melasma while PICO Genesis FX gives us a fractional option for acne scars and uneven texture.
Your treatment series depends on your aesthetic goals and how your skin or the tattoo pigment responds. A pigmentation concern often needs fewer sessions than a tattoo, while deeper textural changes require more. As results develop, your provider can adjust the number or intensity of treatments based on how your skin responds.
Most clients describe pico treatment as a series of quick, very light snaps against the skin, although the sensation changes with the treatment area and settings. At Erasable, we adjust the laser’s intensity to your aesthetic concerns and comfort levels. Treatment pain is minimal and topical numbing is generally not needed.
Downtime depends on how we use the enlighten III. Pigment-focused treatments usually cause temporary redness or brown spots that typically flake off in just a few days, while fractional PICO Genesis FX treatments involve a more noticeable recovery as the skin begins remodeling. We factor that recovery time into the treatment intensity we recommend, especially when downtime needs to fit around your schedule.
