Laser Tattoo Removal - Women
Laser Tattoo Removal will be somewhat uncomfortable, but most patients don’t need anesthesia. Depending on where your tattoo is located, we may apply a topical anesthesia cream beforehand.
Immediately following the treatment, it is wise to use an ice pack to soothe the treated area. Also apply an antibiotic cream or ointment and bandage to protect it if your tattoo removal specialist recommends doing so.
You should also be sure it’s covered with sunblock when you’re outside.

Our Technology Sets Us Apart
At Erasable Inc. we started our practice to become leaders in the field of tattoo removal and today, after thousands of successful treatments, we have happy patients from around the globe. You are unique and so is your tattoo. As a result, we strive to craft a customized solution considering your skin type, tattoo composition and desired results.
Erasable Inc. incorporates the Kirby-Desai Tattoo Removal scale into the evaluation of the individual elements that make up your tattoo and devise a treatment plan that ensures you the best results. As your treatment progresses, we consistently monitor how the tattoo responds so we can make adjustments to your treatment plan accordingly. We know each situation is unique and will work to ensure the best possible result for you.
Our Cutera Enlighten provides a powerful solution to colorful tattoos, featuring short pulse durations at nano + pico second intervals and optimal ink shattering on tattoos of all colors for patients of all skin types. High power, with three wavelengths, dual pulse durations, and the broadest range of fluence and spot size selection, results in the most advanced picosecond platform optimized for depth, speed, power, and safety.
Enlighten offers pulse speeds of 750 picoseconds and 2 nanoseconds, making it possible to shatter ink particles in the way most appropriate to that tattoo. These pulse speeds lower the chance of side effects, while eliminating ink as quickly as possible. The nanosecond speed excels at wearing down very dark and dense tattoos, while the picosecond capability enables us to treat the remaining smaller particles that tend to be resistant to older technologies.
Thanks to the 532 nm, 670 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths from the Enlighten, our system is able to treat virtually any tattoo, no matter the size or color, quickly and safely. This combination enables us to treat a wide range of tattoo ink colors –black, brown, purple, blue, red, orange, green, and yellow. The 670 nm wavelength is ideal for treating resistant ink colors such as bright blues, vivid greens, and stubborn black inks. Most tattoo removal clinics do not offer a third wavelength and thus have a hard time delivering complete removal on vibrant, multicolored tattoos.
Erasable Inc. is proud of our reputation as a leader in laser tattoo removal and is trusted by clients worldwide who seek us out for our expertise. The Kirby-Desai scale is a medically published scale used in helping to estimate the number of sessions needed to remove a tattoo. It considers the patient’s skin type, colors in the tattoo, the density of the ink, and the presence of scarring. These factors, along with variables such as a patient’s health status and the tattoo age, are what our providers use to estimate the number of needed sessions to reach your aesthetic goals.

A ‘picosecond’ is one-trillionth of a second, and is 1,000 times shorter than ‘nanosecond’ pulses.
Both nanosecond and picosecond technology are required to adequately breakdown varying sizes of ink particles.
Nanosecond pulses are used to break up large ink particles and picosecond pulses are used to breakdown the fine ink particles.
Both are necessary to achieve adequate removal.
A variety of factors are taken into consideration including: the age of the tattoo, the color of the ink, the density of the ink, the location of the tattoo, your body’s immune system, and many other factors.
Ultimately, the best way to determine the number of treatments is to come in for a free consultation where your tattoo can be professionally evaluated.
Most tattoos need between 5 to 10 treatments for complete removal.
Our tattoo removal specialists will perform a medical assessment and develop a customized treatment plan to include your estimated number of sessions.
The Kirby-Desai scale outlined below can give you a rough idea of some of the factors that contribute to the duration of your treatment and how we estimate the number of sessions necessary.
Please note that this is for informational purposes only, and that official estimates can only be achieved through a free consultation.*
Complete removal often times requires multiple treatments. Fortunately, treatment sessions are generally short and typically can be measured in seconds or minutes, depending on the size and colors of the tattoo being treated.
At least 6 to 8 weeks are needed between each treatment in order for your lymphatic system to flush out the shattered ink.
Patients will see their tattoos fade at different rates depending on the different elements of their tattoo and how fast their body heals.
Some patients may see complete removal after just a few months while others may see complete removal after a year.
Our Enlighten laser is specifically designed to eliminate ink faster and with better results so that you need the fewest number of treatments possible.
However, it is very important to know that some ink colors are more difficult to clear than others.
This is why we offer free consultations, so that our providers can assess all of the factors that will impact your removal and set clear expectations.
Topical or local anaesthetics are available from your provider to minimize discomfort.
Do not be alarmed if you experience any of these side effects. They are healthy signs and natural indications that your body is healing.
We strongly advise you to not touch, pick, or pop any blisters or scabs, as it may impair the healing process.
As long as you follow proper aftercare instructions and remember that side effects are normal responses to the procedure, your skin will heal beautifully.
Good sun protection is a must and we advise sunblock over chemical sunscreens.
