Laser Genesis - Men
Laser Genesis is a non-ablative, Nd: YAG 1064nm laser used to treat the dermis (the middle layer of your skin). In more common terms, Laser Genesis does not damage the exterior of your skin. Instead, it works by penetrating the top layer of skin and delivering thousands of micro-pulses of light to the dermis.
We primarily use laser Genesis for treating scarring caused by acne, surgery, or burns, redness, and broken blood vessels, which are often a side effect of rosacea. It offers the benefit of reducing fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, large pores, and age spots. It gives a boost of radiance and firmness by stimulating collagen production. Laser Genesis can treat any part of the body, but most use it primarily on the face, neck, chest and hands.
Laser Vein Treatment
The Cutera Xeo laser combines the wavelength ideal for vascular treatments (Nd Yag 1064nm) with the highest flexibility of the parameters for the safe and efficient treatment of the vascular dilatations, from the slightest vascular dilatations (telangiectasias, discrete vein dilatations at the level of the face, neck) to the most visible vascular dilatations, blue and reticular, encountered at the level of lower limbs.
The Cutera Xeo systems deliver pulses of light energy, which cause the blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel, which is later reabsorbed by your body. It will then redirect blood flow to veins deeper below your skin’s surface, where it should be.
Patients often find that one to two treatments are sufficient. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color, and size of the treated vessels. Since individual results vary, ask your medical professional about your specific condition.

Laser Genesis patients report excellent results over their entire faces and necks. Additionally, practitioners may suggest this therapy to diminish recent scars on other parts of the body.
Diffuse redness is a general appearance of facial redness, such as rosy cheeks. This condition is caused by dilated capillaries, resulting in an appearance of general redness, not discrete, well-defined vessels. The most commonly affected areas are the nose, forehead and cheeks. Diffuse redness is often associated with a condition called rosacea and it can be hereditary. Laser Genesis will help your appearance by gently treating and reducing this condition.
Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. You will experience a gentle warming of your skin’s surface during the procedure. You can immediately return to normal activities, utilizing sunscreen if participating in outdoor activities.
By gently heating the upper dermis well below your skin’s surface, Laser Genesis improves the appearance of wrinkles through collagen stimulation. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness.
You will not need gel, anesthetic cream or ice prior to treatment. Before the actual Laser Genesis treatment, you will be asked to remove your make-up or moisturizers and, in some cases, you may be asked to shave the area to be treated. Your provider will review and assist with all pre-treatment requirements.
Over the course of four to five treatments*, Laser Genesis can help restore the skin’s youthful glow and appearance. The individual treatment results are subtle, but the overall effect of multiple treatments can be quite dramatic
• Safely and gently treat diffuse redness

On average, you may require four to six treatments in order to achieve optimal results. Every patient’s condition and needs vary. For more information about your expected results or the number of treatments necessary, consult your provider.*
Although most patients report few if any side effects, the most common is a slight redness that disappears within a few hours of treatment.
