PDO Thread Lifts are one of three types of sutures used in thread lift procedures. They made the other two types from polylactic acid (PLA) and polycaprolactone (PCA).
Recovery from a PDO Thread Lift procedure is minimal, and it’s often possible to return to work the same day.

FAQs
HOW LONG DOES A PDO THREAD LIFT LAST?
Thread lifts typically last 18 months or longer. Once the effects wear off, you can schedule another treatment to maintain your beautiful, youthful skin.
DO PDO THREAD LIFTS ACTUALLY WORK?
A study published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) confirms PDO Threads does work. The study stated PDO thread lifts indisputably lift and shape facial soft tissues.
A second study published by the NIH shows PDO Thread Lifts results in around a 90 percent success rate.
IS A PDO THREAD LIFT WORTH IT?
A PDO Thread Lift will offer significant results right away. You’ll see a tightening and lifting of your facial skin.
However, it will take around two weeks for the collagen production to begin, and this is when you will see an improvement of the skin’s tone, texture and overall quality.
IS A PDO THREAD LIFT BETTER THAN DERMAL FILLER?
If you want an instant flash of youth, we’d recommend opting for fillers. Filler results are visible results within a week.
PDO Threads can take slightly longer for the full results to show once the new collagen and elastin in the skin has formed.
WHAT CAN GO WRONG WITH PDO THREAD LIFTS?
Potential complications includes minor pain, swelling, rippling, dimpling, bruising, bleeding at the entry or exit sites, edema, asymmetry, dysesthesia, skin irregularities, and inflammatory reactions
HOW PAINFUL IS A PDO THREAD LIFT?
A PDO Thread Lift is usually a low-traumatic method and is considered a relatively painless procedure.
WHAT AGE SHOULD YOU GET A PDO THREAD LIFT?
The ideal PDO Thread Lift candidate is usually in his or her late thirties to early fifties.
Most patients over the age of about 55 will benefit more profoundly from facelift surgery.
PDO Thread Lifts can, however, provide a viable facelift alternative for older patients who are unable to have surgery for medical reasons.
CAN YOU FEEL PDO THREADS UNDER THE SKIN?
You should not be able to feel the actual threads under the skin. PDO Threads are thinner than a piece of hair. The exposed thread ends are cut so they do not appear above your skin.
CAN YOU SEE PDO THREADS UNDER YOUR SKIN?
You may feel some tightness from the dissolving PDO threads, but the PDO threads themselves will not be visible.
Patients can feel confident knowing that their threads are not only effective for skin tightening but are also incredibly safe.
